Welcome to My General Counsel On Call (“Firm”). By accessing or using our Website or services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our Website or services.

  1. Legal Services Offered

My General Counsel On Call offers general counsel legal services exclusively to businesses located in the state of California. All services are provided by attorneys licensed to practice law in California and are subject to California law.

  1. Eligibility

Services are available only to businesses headquartered or operating in California. You must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to act on behalf of the business entity seeking legal services.

  1. Attorney-Client Relationship

No attorney-client relationship is established by accessing or using this Website. Such a relationship is formed only upon execution of a written and signed engagement agreement whereby both parties expressly agree to the establishment of such relationship and upon retainer payment to My General Counsel On Call. Communications through this Website or via email are not confidential until an attorney-client relationship exists and unless an engagement agreement has been executed by both parties.

  1. Scope of Representation

Our legal services are limited to those expressly described in the written and signed engagement agreement. We do not provide litigation representation, criminal defense, or legal services outside the state of California, unless expressly agreed to in a written and signed engagement agreement. Should parties agree to such scope of representation, the terms of such a written and signed engagement agreement shall supersede all terms within these Terms and Conditions. The services provided are intended for general business and corporate legal matters and do not include tax advice or accounting services.

  1. Fees and Payment

Services are offered on a membership or subscription basis, with pricing outlined on the Website and in the engagement agreement. Payments are due in advance on a monthly, annual, or other periodic basis unless otherwise agreed. Fees are subject to change with 30 days’ written notice.

All membership or subscription payments made to the Firm are considered earned on receipt, which means they are the Firm’s property upon payment and will not be deposited into a client trust account. Retainer payments earned on receipt compensate the Firm for reserving its availability and committing resources to your legal matter. Such retainers are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise in this agreement or required by California law. The Firm complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including the California Rules of Professional Conduct. The retainer is non-refundable unless: The Firm determines it cannot perform the agreed-upon services. Required by applicable California law or a court order. The non-refundable nature of the retainer does not excuse the Firm from providing competent and diligent legal services.

  1. Refunds and Cancellations

Refunds for prepaid fees are not available unless specified in the engagement agreement. You may cancel your subscription by providing 30 days’ written notice.

  1. Confidentiality

We take reasonable measures to protect your confidential information, as required by California law. However, communications through the Website or email before establishing an attorney-client relationship are neither privileged nor confidential.

  1. No Guarantee of Results

My General Counsel On Call does not guarantee any particular outcome or result from the use of our legal services.

  1. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of My General Counsel On Call and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or use is prohibited.

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, My General Counsel On Call and its attorneys are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or Website.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the state of California. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the Superior Court of California – County of San Diego.

  1. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with the effective date.
